The second annual Pigskin Pass was held before Saturday's game between rivals Towson University and the University of Delaware.
Student-athletes from both schools ran a 58-mile relay between both campuses to help raise money for Special Olympics programs.
The event started early Saturday morning at Fred P. Rullo Jr. stadium in Delaware. Students-athletes ran 29 miles and at noon, the Delaware mascot (YouDee) handed a commemorative football to Towson's mascot (Doc).
After the exchange, Towson athletes ran the ball the rest of the way to Johnny Unitas Stadium at Towson University.
Currently, the University of Delaware has raised $15,539 and Towson University has raised $13,011. If you would like to make a donation, please visit the Pigskin Pass website at http://www.pigskinpass.com/
