Job in mind?
Are you thinking about post-graduation?

What job do you have waiting for you after graduation? I have not a clue either, but while I was researching on how to find a great job, that suits my degree; I came across a nice lady in a department on campus that I highly recommend you use.
First, I am sure you are all aware of the Career Center here on campus. If not, head directly to the 7800 York Road building (2nd Floor) and check it out. If you are familiar with it great! Take part in the Career Assessment that the Career Center has. This assessment, according to their website, "helps you to gain a better understanding about yourself," so that you can make a great career decision. Cool right?
Okay so if that doesn't help, you can go to one of the many job fairs that the Career Center hosts during any time of the year. The employers that come to these job fairs come specifically to hire Towson University students. These aren't just regular employers either, some past employers have included T. Rowe Price, Target (Management Group) and Morgan Stanley. Basically, the Career Center brings a variety of jobs to the school; all you have to do is show up.
What about a resume? They can help!
Just don't expect them to do it for you. After all, the real work is all about helping yourself. If you are interested in joining one of the Career Center workshops, like the Job Search Group, you will be happy to know that they offer mock interviews with 15 of your colleagues. It improves your chances of finding a job. WOW! Who would have thought Towson helps you with all of this?
Now the lady I talked to is WONDERFUL and more than willing to help you with any questions or concerns you have. Her name is Amanda Baker and she can be reached at 410-704-4840. She has been working in this department for about three years and is more than qualified to help any TU student find a job. Don't forget, although the school is helping with after graduation jobs, they can also help place you at an internship or help you find a job while you are in school or on break.
Lastly, in my experience I have been interviewed and have been fortunate enough to be the one interviewing you, so I cannot tell you all of the interesting things that I have heard from applicants or have seen what they have worn to interviews. To avoid pitfalls, send me an email at hgreen@towson501.com. I can help you discuss what can help you and what can hurt you in an interview.
